A Bit About Me

Hello! My name is Lisa, I’m a costume designer and maker that loves bringing ideas to life by creating and enhancing characters with costumes and props. Working most of my adult life in an office environment, which I enjoy, I also have a deep love for creating which is the opposite to the structure of my day job. The unpredictable nature of seeing an idea evolve is exciting and I enjoy the challenge it brings. The range of costumes I have designed and made over the years are varied, I’ve not quite found my niche, from a tutu to making a tailcoat and many in between, gaining knowledge from each to use in the next.

Having recently come to the end of the BA (Hons) Costume Construction degree with the University Centre South Essex, validated by University of the Arts London in collaboration with the Royal Opera House, I am looking forward to using the skills I have learnt on the course in the costume industry. Through doing the degree I have found that my strengths are in research, problem solving and attention to detail, whilst also try to work to a high standard.
